Yolanda has over 600 hours of combined training in neuromuscular programming, deep tissue, myofascial release, integrative lymph and visceral massage, sports massage, craniosacral, polarity, reflexology, and advanced training through the Institute of Conscious Body Work located in Corte Madera, California. She has additional training and certification in pregnancy massage. She’s also studied Lomi-Lomi technique and the Reiki system of natural healing.

Yolanda describes her massage as finding and undoing holding patterns in the body. In the context of structural massage therapy, her work involves muscle testing and intuitive mapping of the body; this shows her where to find and unwind the muscle patterns. Her approach is gentle and effective with the appropriate amount of pressure based on the patient’s tolerance and response to tissue work. Her massage therapy training is holistic in nature and she has a broad toolkit to call upon depending on the client’s needs.

She has worked with numerous athletes including prima ballerinas, marathoners, ultra-marathoners, professional soccer players, rugby players, ultimate Frisbee players, hockey players, triathletes, cyclists, new mothers and new fathers who are also athletes in their own right!
